FRIEDL GmbH Plastic Engineering was founded by its current owners in 1980. One of the most important business directions are the development and introduction of innovative and future oriented products for all applications of the cable industry in consideration of ecological aspects. Since then, the company works on the following businesses:
- Developing and designing products for all cable applications.
- Production of cable closure systems, also development and production of Fibre Optic products.
- Distribution of cable accessories for telecom, electrical installations and power markets
Shortly after, FRIEDL started developing foam-products, mostly made from Polyurethan Foam. The change from Telecom‘s lead cable to plastic cables and the addition of fibre optic cables required new techniques of protecting different cable splice technologies. Todays and future-oriented specifications for closures were created and ask for new products. High standards for the reliability in service, beside the necessity of watertightness and easy installation procedures were the challenges to develop a new generation of closures. The result was to come out with a new generation of screwable closures, which would fit on all cable types on the installation market for copper- and fibre optic cables. To meet all requirements of the different applications, were developed and designed different closure systems, later successfully introduced to the Electrical/Power Cable, Copper Cable and Fibre Optic Cables markets.

FRIEDL FDM1 - cable closure application
AMIGA d.o.o. (Serbia)
is a family business founded in 1990 in Kraljevo, Serbia, with approximately 20,000 m² of production space on an area of approximately 6 ha. The company has more than 30 years of experience in the production of various types of poles (e.g. poles with lighting, including public lighting, telecommunications or broadcast masts up to 110 kV). AMIGA products are installed and are part of the energy and railway systems of Serbia, EU countries, Russia, Nigeria and many others. In addition, AMIGA also produces special steel grid structures of large spans, e.g. sports halls, stadiums, factories, production halls, cold stores, cement plants, thermal power plants and other similar facilities in hard-to-reach terrains: antennas, mobile phone stations, chairlifts, etc.
It produces masts for public lighting: classic tubular stepped, decorative, conical circular or polygonal from one piece up to 16m and flood masts from several segments up to 65m, masts for telecommunication, network and transmission lines, masts, portals and semi-portals for road and railway signaling, special steel lattice structures of large spans and special requirements, distribution and control electrical cabinets.
“FRANCEVILLE” STADIUM FRANCEVILLE, GABON In six and a half months, Amiga completed the installation of a 1,600-ton steel grid roof structure covering the Franceville football stadium, built for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations with a capacity of 20,000 spectators.
LAKHTA CENTER TOWER SANKT-PETERSBURG During 2017 AMIGA did an extremely demanding steel facade substructure of LAKHTA CENTER TOWER in St. Petersburg contracted by SAMSUNG C&T. They have manufactured and delivered over 400 construction components with complicated geometry and with high required precision and quality. The building is over 400m high.
FKS Holding Kablovi a.d. Jagodina (Serbia)
The company FKS Holding Kablovi a.d. Jagodina was founded in 1947 and regular production has started in 1955. In 1957, it started manufacture their production of submarine cables. In 1971, they developed the first domestic coaxial cable. Today, FKS forms a holding company consisting of several companies:

ALENERS a.s. (Czech Republic)
ALENERS builds photovoltaic power plants both in open space and on the roofs of industrial buildings and family houses. They offer comprehensive customer care, which is associated with long-term support including control, maintenance and monitoring of individual devices from the central dispatch, as well as communication with distribution networks. In cooperation with leading partners, they provide the ideal solution for photovoltaic systems all over the world for every client. Within the group and partners Aleners has participated in the installation of more than 80 power plants in the last four years with a total output of 60 MWp.
Photovoltaics is a phenomenon of today’s time. Production of electricity from solar radiation works without any additional fuels, raw materials and costs and does not pollute the environment. ELKOND HHK a.s. (Slovakia)
ELKOND was established in 1992 as the only Slovak producer of telecommunication cables. ELKOND invested into technology for production of special cables with fire-technical properties. In 2006 – ELKOND elaborated the normalization task STN 920205 concerning fire resistance of electrical cable systems. In 2010 ELKOND significantly contributed to creation of new technical standards for fire safety of cable installations – primarily aimed at the creation of the Slovak norm STN 92 0203 “Fire safety of buildings – Continuous power supply in case of fire.”
In 2011 ELKOND became an active member of the working group WG 10 “Fire performance cables” CENELEC TC20 “Electric cables” through their representatives. This way ELKOND actively participates on creation of new European standards for the cables.
KOVEL s.r.o. (Slovakia)
Kovel was established in late 1990. ce the beginning of its existence, it has focused on the assembly, repair, maintenance of dedicated electric equipment and manufacturing of low-voltage switchboards. Over the years the production grow and KOVEL started to produce different metallic/galvanized steel products such as switchboards, external low and high voltage leads, galvanized load-bearing steel structures various types up to 400 kVA!, steel lighting masts / Street lights poles, anti-bird and bird-friendly steel brackets etc.
In 2007, the ANTI-BIRD system by KOVEL was awarded the DIPLOMA “Environmental Achievement of the Year 2007 in the Electrotechnical industry” on the 13th International exhibition of electrical electronics and power engineering in Trencin (Slovakia) and received a Honourable recognition at CONECO exhibition in Bratislava by the Minister of Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic. Feman is the producer of cable splicing equipment, electrical material, tools and gear for cables in the Balkans. With over 300 employees and a wide assortment of products on a total area of 16,000 m2 is FEMAN the largest producer in the Balkans of these products. The factory has its own departments for research and development of products, foundry, smithy, locksmith, press, plastic extrusion, lathe and milling processing, paint shop, galvanization, tool shop and installation.
